Kevin Holbrough has a vast amount of high profile experience as a professional musician. His academic and professional background enables him to deliver education to a high level. A passionate educator, Kevin has tutored on numerous music/jazz courses and has over fifteen years experience as a brass tutor, director of ensembles and workshop leader. Alongside his performing schedule he currently I lecturing position at Leeds College Of Music and teaches in the music departments of Hull University and private schools of York Minster and Pocklington. He has delivered master classes for The British Trombone Society, Creative Jazz Summer at Leeds College of Music, Jazz day at Leeds College of Music, tutor on The Greater Manchester Jazz Orchestra HUB held at Chethams School of Music and is currently Director for the Leeds "Musicale" Summer School. Many of Kevin's students have gone on to become succesful professional musicians, gained music scholarships at private schools of Bootham, St Peters and Pocklington, performed at ABRSM high achievers concerts, gained places at music colleges throughout the country and gained places in both the National Childrens Orchestra, National Childrens Concert Band, Doncaster Youth Jazz Orchestra and National Youth Jazz Orchestra. Tuition is offered in the following areas: Professional Trombone tuition, covering all styles Jazz Improvisation lessons on all instruments, from beginner through to undergraduate. Music Theory. One to one tuition covered on all brass instruments from beginners through to advanced. Kevin has an excellent pass rate on all brass instruments through to Grade 8 with the Associated Board Of Royal Schools Of Music.
